Bethel University supports and develops future leaders
Jo Saxton, a Black woman in a green sweater, leads “The 25,” a leadership initiative at Bethel University in St. Paul. Raised in London by Nigerian parents, Saxton now resides in Minneapolis with her family. She was often the lone woman, and frequently the sole Black individual, among speakers at national conferences during her early career.
Living in Minneapolis with her family, Saxton’s Nigerian heritage informs her work. She aims to empower women beyond conferences. Saxton established an online coaching program and community for women leaders worldwide. Additionally, she founded the Ezer Collective, an event supporting women leaders across sectors.
Saxton’s journey reflects her commitment to advancing women in leadership roles.
