Crumbl, famous for its ever-changing menu, has a special new dessert for the 4th of July: strawberry shortcake. This bakery chain, with over 1,000 locations across the country, keeps things exciting by constantly introducing new flavors. Earlier this year, Crumbl ventured beyond cookies with its first non-cookie treat, cinnamon squares, which were a hit and are now a regular item. Following this success, Crumbl added carrot cake, and now, for Independence Day, they’ve brought in strawberry shortcake.

The strawberry shortcake, available until July 6, features two layers of vanilla shortcake with fresh whipped cream and house-made strawberry jam. This larger dessert is perfect for sharing at holiday gatherings. Rhonda Bromley, Crumbl’s VP of PR, noted that its delicious flavors and large size make it great for events like 4th of July barbecues.

Besides the strawberry shortcake, Crumbl’s 4th of July menu includes other tasty treats. The classic chocolate chip cookie is always available, and four other flavors are perfect for summer celebrations. There’s a birthday cookie with red, white, and blue sprinkles to honor America’s 248th birthday, a s’mores cookie with a graham cracker base, chocolate chips, and marshmallow and chocolate drizzle, an apple pie cookie made with a butter cookie base and apple cinnamon pie filling, and a cornbread cookie with honey butter glaze, honey buttercream frosting, and a honey drizzle.

The introduction of strawberry shortcake hints at Crumbl’s future direction. Earlier this year, the company dropped “cookies” from its name and acquired a small pie company named Crust Club. Crumbl’s focus on innovation suggests that pie-related offerings could appear on the menu in the future. Crust Club specializes in savory pies, which means the two brands could complement each other without overlapping.
