Films to watch – January’23
- Chhatriwali:
The movie is based on a girl who is a chemistry graduate but isn’t employed. She manages her living by teaching small children in her locality. Suddenly she gets an offer to work at a condom factory as a tester but she refuses to take it up as it was awkward for her. But to make her living better she chose to accept this offer and started working there. As time passed she came to know the importance of condoms in a woman’s life by going through a real-life situation that made her promote sex education and awareness for the usage of condoms.
2. Pamela, a love story:
An intimate and humanizing portrait of one of the world’s most famous blonde bombshells, “Pamela, a Love Story” follows the trajectory of Pamela Anderson’s life and career from small-town girl to international sex symbol, actress, activist, and doting mother.
3. Missing:
Missing is a thriller movie. The name itself gives out the story. It centers around a teenage girl who uses her hands on all kinds of technology at her end to find her missing mother after she loses all her contact and connections with her. It draws attention to the bond between mother-daughter and the advancement of technology.
4. Noise:
The movie is about a mother – or rather, one of many mothers, sisters, daughters, and colleagues, who have had their lives torn by the widespread violence in a country waging a war against its women. She is searching for her daughter and, in her search, weaves through the stories and struggles of the different women she will meet.
