From High-Paying Job to IAS Rank 6: The Inspiring Journey of Vishakha Yadav

Meet Vishakha Yadav, a woman who left her high-paying job to pursue her dream of becoming an IAS officer. Her hard work and dedication paid off when she secured All India Rank 6 in the UPSC examination.

Born and raised in Haryana, Vishakha completed her engineering degree from the National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra. She then went on to work as a software developer in a reputed multinational company. However, she always had a passion for serving the country and making a positive impact on society. This led her to quit her job and start preparing for the UPSC examination.

The journey was not easy for Vishakha. She faced many challenges, including financial constraints and societal pressure to settle down and start a family. However, she remained steadfast in her goal and continued to work hard. She studied for up to 14 hours a day, often sacrificing sleep and social activities.

Vishakha’s dedication paid off when she secured a rank of 6 in the UPSC examination, making her one of the highest-ranked candidates in the country. She was assigned to the Indian Administrative Service and is currently serving as the Deputy Commissioner of Karnal district in Haryana.

Vishakha’s story is an inspiration to all those who have a dream but are afraid to pursue it. She has proven that with hard work and determination, anything is possible. Her journey also highlights the importance of following one’s passion and not being swayed by societal pressures.
