Tejasvi Rana hails from Kurukshetra, Haryana and always wanted to study engineering. She went on to pursue this interest by registering for the JEE exam and attending IIT Kanpur. However, during her time there, she developed a keen interest in the UPSC and decided to take the test.

Tejasvi’s strategy for the UPSC Prelims was to carefully review the syllabus, gather NCERT textbooks from classes 6 to 12, and focus on building a strong foundation. She then meticulously studied the optional subject and practiced writing answers to questions while taking mock exams. She also self-prepared using the internet, creating her own notes to work towards her goal.

Tejasvi’s advice for ambitious UPSC candidates is to put in significant effort, use the right resources, and periodically evaluate their progress. She advises to be patient and avoid panicking over failures, as they can be used as learning opportunities to try again more effectively.

Tejasvi’s story is a testament to the fact that with diligence and determination, one can succeed in even the toughest of exams.
