The festival of lights and love is known as Diwali. It’s a day when people go to see their friends and family, exchange pleasantries, and eat a lot of delicious cuisines.
While it may be a departure from your regular diet, Diwali binge-eating can lead to feelings of guilt and a desire to get to the gym as soon as possible to burn off all the extra calories gained.

Detoxification suggestions
- Plenty of water: Drinking six glasses of water every day can help you stay hydrated throughout the day, whether it’s for weight loss, skin dehydration, rejuvenation, or anything else (preferably hot water sips).
- Herbal Tea: Choosing herbal teas over normal teas, such as lemon tea, cumin fennel water, ginger tea, hibiscus tea, cinnamon tea, and so on, may aid in cleansing. It may also aid digestion, blood sugar regulation, and weight loss.
- Start with some Yoga: Detoxification entails giving your body a fresh start through yoga and workouts. As a result, begin your day with yoga. Breathing exercises and five Surya Namaskars performed on an empty stomach every morning might give your body a fresh start. Do Zumba if you like to move with fast beats.
- More vegetables: Vegetable intake, particularly cruciferous vegetables like spinach, kale, broccoli, sprouts, and other cruciferous vegetables, must be increased.
- High-fibre foods: Beans, berries, avocado, whole grains, dry fruits, and other high-fibre foods aid in detoxifying and may also protect the liver and kidneys.
- Eating habits: A person’s health will be in good shape if they follow a regular eating and sleeping schedule. Eat before sunset, or four hours before bedtime, whichever comes first.
- Adequate sleep: Adequate sleep allows the brain to rejuvenate and revitalise itself while removing toxic waste. Adults should receive a total of 7 to 8 hours of sleep per night.
