Hema Malini Celebrates Women’s Empowerment Bill at Pune Festival

Hema Malini, the renowned actor and Member of Parliament, emphasized the significance of the Women’s Reservation Bill during her speech at the Mahila Mahotsav of the 35th Pune Festival in Balgandharva Kaladalan, Pune.

Inaugurating the event, Hema Malini, who has a 20-year-long political career alongside her acting and dance professions, expressed her joy at being present on the auspicious occasion of Radhastami. She conveyed her deep affection for Pune, where the festival was taking place.

During her speech, Hema Malini also expressed her gratitude to the artists who had created sketches and paintings of her, which were exhibited at the event. She felt overwhelmed by the artists’ sentiments towards her, as showcased through their work.

Furthermore, she praised Suresh Kalmadi, the president of Pune Festival, for organizing this cultural festival for the past 35 years. Hema Malini commended the festival for providing a platform for artists from all over the country to display their talents. She acknowledged the festival’s role in promoting emerging artists and offering them an opportunity to showcase their work.

The Mahila Mahotsav, organized as part of the Pune Festival, aims to highlight the artistic abilities of women. Thousands of women in Pune have been given the chance to present their art through this initiative.
