IT Pro to Triple Entrepreneur: Susan’s Unplanned Success
Susan’s journey to become an entrepreneur was not a planned one; it was purely coincidental. She completed her Engineering and worked for almost a decade in the field of Information Technology. Neither Susan nor anyone in her family has any business background. However, she was destined to be an entrepreneur, as she now proudly represents three brands of her own creation.
She had to quit her IT job in 2016 and move back to her hometown. Despite her attempts to find another job, obstacles always stood in her way. For Susan and her husband working in IT, balancing their jobs and taking care of their son has became a challenging task. It was at this point that Susan decided to venture into entrepreneurship and be her own boss.
With solid support from her husband, she started “Pretty Vogue” in August 2016. The business started with reselling dress materials and later, in partnership with her friends, she expanded it to a complete family retail shop for multi-brand innerwear. They have 2 branches, both running successfully in Kerala. Presently, Susan is in the process of taking over one of the “Pretty Vogue” branches and transforming it into a Multi entrepreneur shop called “Tasselz”. It is located in Eroor, Ernakulam. She plans to bring in multiple new vendors to join Tasselz, including her in-house brands, “BaeLoom” and “ChocloN’s.” The takeover process will be completed within a month.
Her second enterprise, “BaeLoom”, launched in January 2022. It is a complete clothing brand known for its exciting collection of kurtas, which has gained popularity on Instagram. She is looking forward to making “BaeLoom” an international clothing brand.
Susan’s third start-up is a delightful treat to your taste buds. It is a sweet venture named “ChocloN’s”. Susan loves to explore new cooking ideas. During the COVID lockdown period, she experimented with different chocolates and the ones she made with couverture chocolate became a hit among her friends and family. Their encouragement and her passion for chocolates manifest themselves in “ChocloN’s”.
Susan’s entrepreneurial journey has been far from smooth, marked by numerous ups and downs. However, she remained determined and refused to turn back on her decisions, even in the face of financial challenges and other obstacles. Susan firmly believes that everything happens for a reason, and this belief has proven true, bringing significant positive changes to her life.
Pracol serves as her primary e-commerce platform for selling her Baeloom products, and Susan is thrilled to be one of Pracol’s Prayojikas. The association with Pracol, as one of their Prayojikas, is special to her, as they share the same vision of empowering women. Like any other Prayojika at Pracol, Susan believes in the upliftment of women, making their partnership a perfect fit for promoting women’s entrepreneurship and making a positive impact in the business world.
