Kindergarten Teacher Goes Viral on Douyin and Earns 10 Years’ Salary in One Livestream

A kindergarten teacher from Wuhan, China, recently resigned from her job after earning 10 years’ worth of her annual salary from a single livestream. Huang, who has been teaching nursery rhymes to children, went viral on Douyin and amassed over 4 million followers. Many of her viewers flooded her with cash gifts during her first livestream, earning her between 400,000 to 500,000 yuan. Huang’s surprise earnings were said to be more than 10 years’ worth of her salary teaching children.

“I’m so happy, I livestreamed for a day and earned more than 10 years’ worth of my salary. Thank you, everyone,” Huang told her viewers.

According to Oriental Daily, Huang resigned from her teaching job and has signed a contract with a talent management company, earning over 2 million yuan for her first three livestreams. Huang’s videos on Douyin have garnered millions of views, and she tried livestreaming after several fans requested her to do so.
