Former actress and current Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, has switched up her look, trading in her signature curls for a sleek, bone-straight hairstyle. The duchess debuted her new ‘do while introducing her friend and photographer Misan Harriman before his recent TED Talk. In addition to her chic new hairstyle, Meghan complemented her glossy locks with soft glam makeup that featured a delicate mascara, a golden highlight, and a pink lip. This is a departure from her usual makeup routine, which usually includes bold eyeliner.

Meghan’s public appearance marks her first since Buckingham Palace confirmed she will not attend King Charles III’s coronation. According to a source, this decision was made due to her children; as a mom first, Meghan wouldn’t miss her son Archie’s birthday for anything. Prince Harry will attend the May 6 event alone.

Recent rumors have suggested that Meghan’s absence at the coronation may have been due to letters she reportedly exchanged with Charles after her and Harry’s 2021 tell-all interview. During the interview, the couple claimed that a member of the royal family questioned how dark their son Archie’s skin would be while Meghan was pregnant. However, a representative for the Sussexes denied these rumors, stating that Meghan is focused on the present and not thinking about correspondence from two years ago.
