Miss Universe : Harnaaz Sandhu.

This Sunday, beating 81 participants from various countries, Harnaaz Sandhu won the title of Miss Universe 2021. At the age of 21, she participated in the  70th edition of Miss Universe which was held in Eilat, Israel, and came back home with the crown. It was indeed a very proud moment for India.

In the year 2000, Lara Dutta from India won the Miss Universe title and it is after 21 long years that Harnaaz Sandhu is crowned Miss Universe. She is the third Indian woman who is crowned Miss Universe. Andrea Meza honored her with the crown. The video when she is declared as the winner has gone viral and she is getting greetings from all over the world. She has made India as well as her parents very proud. 

She completed her schooling and college in Chandigarh. From her teenage years, she began participating in pageantry. She has won titles such as Miss Chandigarh 2017 as well as Miss Max Emerging Star India 2018. She was also honored with the title of Miss Diva Universe India in the year 2021. She has worked in two Punjabi films before. She has won millions of hearts showcasing her talent. She was thankful to Miss Universe and everyone for supporting her and making her understand her worth. 

The top 3 participants were asked questions for giving advice to the young woman who is facing pressure today. For this, Harnaaz gave the answer as, “in today’s world the youth facing the biggest issue is to believe in themselves, to know that you are unique makes you unique. We must stop comparing ourselves to others. Let’s talk about more important things that are happening worldwide. We must come out, speak for ourselves because we are the leader of our own life. You are the voice of your own.”

Harnaaz has a strong belief in the statements she has made and this is the reason why she was able to stand in the Miss Universe 2021. She is a true inspiration for all of us.
