Meanwhile, fellow Indian wrestlers Neelam and Priya are still in the running for bronze medals in their respective weight categories. Neelam will compete in the repechage round for a chance to advance to the bronze medal match, while Priya awaits her opponent in the same round.

The Asian Wrestling Championships, which are being held in Almaty, Kazakhstan, have seen some impressive performances from the Indian team so far. Along with Dahiya, several other Indian wrestlers have advanced to the later rounds of the tournament.
