Noida Lawyer Renu Sinha Murdered Over Property
In a tragic incident, 61-year-old Supreme Court lawyer Renu Sinha was found dead in the bathroom of her Noida Sector 30 bungalow. Her husband, Nitin Sinha, has been arrested for allegedly murdering her. The motive behind this heinous act appears to be a bitter property dispute.
The couple, residing in their upscale home, had conflicting views on selling their bungalow. Nitin Sinha had planned to sell the property for Rs. 4 crore, but his wife vehemently opposed the idea. Their disagreements escalated into frequent arguments, ultimately culminating in a horrifying crime.
Renu Sinha was a cancer survivor who had triumphed over the disease and was reportedly cancer-free for just one month before her untimely demise. Initial investigations suggest she might have succumbed to excessive blood loss, but the police are awaiting postmortem results for confirmation.
Renu had previously worked at the Delhi High Court, although she had not been actively practicing law in recent years. The couple’s son lived abroad, adding to the tragedy.
The grim situation came to light when Renu’s brother, Amit, grew concerned after she failed to answer phone calls for two days. He suspected foul play and raised alarms. The police, led by Amit, forcibly entered the house, discovering Renu’s lifeless body in the bathroom, with traces of blood in her ear.
Nitin Sinha, the accused, was located and apprehended in a store room on their property, where he had been hiding for over 36 hours. Following his arrest, he confessed to the murder, citing the property dispute as the motive.
This tragic incident serves as a reminder of the devastating consequences that disputes, especially over property, can lead to within families. The accused is now in police custody, awaiting justice as the investigation continues.
