The US Department of Defense is scrambling to understand the extent of a recent document leak that has caused a stir in the media. Pentagon Deputy Press Secretary Sabrina Singh stated that they expect to find more leaked documents online as they continue to assess the situation. The documents,
which were first posted on a Discord server, contained sensitive information regarding US and NATO special forces activity in Ukraine, as well as details of Kiev’s forces running low on ammunition and the US spying on its allies. US officials have dismissed some of the leaked files as fake, and have announced
an internal security review to prevent future incidents. Meanwhile, Russian officials have suggested that the leak may be part of a Western deception campaign.

The alleged leaker, 21-year-old Jack Teixeira, was arrested by the FBI last week after the New York Times published his identity. However, the same media outlets have continued to publish information from the leaked documents, with Newsweek revealing the supposed start date of Ukraine’s forthcoming spring
offensive against Russian forces. The leaked files have caused concern among military officials, who fear that sensitive information may have fallen into the wrong hands.
