Police Check on Britney Spears After Knife Video

Britney Spears recently caught the attention of the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department when she posted a video of herself playing with knives, sparking concern among her fans.

Law enforcement visited her mansion, which she previously shared with her estranged husband, Sam Asghari. TMZ reports that they conducted a safety and wellness check as a precautionary measure. During their visit, they spoke with the Toxic singer and determined that she was okay. The concern arose from multiple calls regarding the alarming video she shared on social media.

Back in May, TMZ reported that Spears had developed a fascination with knives and even slept with one under her bed due to her fear of being re-institutionalized. After the end of her 13-year conservatorship, Spears spoke out about its abusive nature and her ongoing fear of being taken to a psych ward in the middle of the night.

In August, Spears and Sam Asghari officially announced their divorce after 14 months of marriage. Asghari cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for their split and requested spousal support as well as coverage of his attorney fees from Spears.
