Tribal Women SHGs Inspire Empowerment and Entrepreneurship: President’s Appreciation

President Droupadi Murmu, in a conference organized by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, engaged with tribal women Self Help Groups (SHGs) in Khunti, Jharkhand. She commended the remarkable achievements of these tribal women, who have forged their own success stories through active participation in SHG programs.

Highlighting the empowerment of tribal women, the President emphasized that they have surpassed their counterparts in other states. During her visit, she explored various stalls showcasing products crafted from forest produce by tribal women SHGs. President Murmu acknowledged their exemplary self-reliance and Atmanirbharta (self-sufficiency).

Union Minister of Tribal Affairs, Arjun Munda, expressed the ministry’s pride in receiving recognition from the President for the commendable work of these tribal women SHGs. He stated that their accomplishments have set new benchmarks in women’s entrepreneurship, serving as an inspiration for others.

Later in the evening, the President will grace the 2nd convocation of the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Ranchi, held in Namkum.
