Striker Vivianne Miedema Signs New Deal To Stay At Arsenal
Arsenal striker Vivianne Miedema has signed a new contract to stay at Arsenal after being linked with a move away. This Dutch forward is the league’s all-time leading scorer with 74 goals, having previously been linked with Barcelona and PSG, upon the expiration of her current deal this summer. Fans were wondering whether she’ll stay at Arsenal or sign a contract with a new club. Ultimately, she put an end to the speculation by opting to stay in north London.
Despite not winning any title since the league title in 2019, Miedema is determined to push herself and give her best no matter what. As this 25-year-old Dutch player is the highest goalscorer in WSL’s history as well as the highest goalscorer for the Netherlands than any other player, male or female, and she’d like to keep this form.
“I feel like for me, winning titles with Arsenal will mean a lot more to me than winning them with another club at the moment. And that’s what I obviously hope to achieve with Arsenal,” she said in a statement.
