In today’s world, brand awareness is so important. The theory is very simple: the more eyes on you, the more likely it is that you will make sales, which will help you grow your brand and become a market leader. So the question you have to ask yourself is, how do you get more eyes on you? The answer to that is by increasing your brand awareness.

There are various ways you can increase your brand awareness. Some companies will go down the route of hosting an event, others will prioritise social media, and then there is advertising – which route you choose depends on the type of business you are and the return you think you will get.

Below, we look into three ways to increase your brand awareness.

Hosting an event

To start with, hosting an event with people who are interested in what you offer is very useful for increasing your brand awareness. By getting a lot of people in one room, it gives you a chance to explain your offering, open the door for them to ask you questions and create a certain level of excitement, which they will go out and share with others. Many major brands host events when they launch their product, such as Apple launching their new iPhone each year. What’s important when you do host an event is ensuring you hire experienced event photographers; this way, they can capture the occasion, and you can then use these images in your marketing materials, such as on your socials.

Prioritising social media

Talking about socials, social media is a very powerful platform which, when used correctly, can help you excel at improving your brand awareness. With billions of active users across platforms like Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and X (formerly Twitter), the opportunity to reach your target audience has never been greater. By consistently sharing valuable content, engaging with your community, and staying up-to-date with trends, you can build a strong online presence that reinforces your brand identity. If you’re a start-up, using social media should be one of the first things you do when launching.

Paid advertising

Finally, paid advertising! Paid advertising can seem like a scary thing, but once you understand it and can do it correctly, it can be a great tool for growing your business. Using paid sites, like Google, Facebook, YouTube or LinkedIn, you can reach the people you want to reach, in order to share information about your business. You can target them specifically to know more about you, or try to target them to come to your site and buy from you – it depends on what your strategy is. If you don’t have experience in paid ads, you could hire a freelancer to do it for you, or if your budget allows you to an agency as they will have more experience.
