Ayurveda, the ancient Indian system of medicine, has been proven to be effective in maintaining overall health and wellness. When it comes to women’s health, Ayurveda offers some unique insights and practices that can help women achieve and maintain optimal physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

Women have a superior level of immunity compared to men, which is attributed to their physiological makeup and physical structure. This makes them resilient and helps them outlast men in terms of lifespan. Additionally, women are skilled at taking care of themselves and their families with natural remedies, which can be found in their own kitchens.

The Ayurvedic routine or Dincharya is an excellent way for women to start their day. Starting with a herbal tea made with organic jaggery and cinnamon, followed by raw alkaline fruits like musk melon, honeydew melon, pomegranate, and coconut water, can help improve their immunity. Avoiding processed foods and finishing dinner by 6.30 pm can also contribute to better health.

Incorporating yoga asanas, such as Bhujangasana, Bhadrasana, Pavan muktasana, Naukasana, Balasana, and Ustrasana, into daily routines can help women achieve balance and centredness.

Ayurveda believes that a woman’s soundness, balance, centredness, and contentment can lead to the balancing of the three doshas – vata, pitta, and kapha. This balance of the doshas is known as tri-doshi and is important for overall well-being.
