Rashi Bagga: From Rejecting 14 Lakh to Landing 85 Lakh Package

In a stunning achievement, she secured a job package worth 85 lakh per annum in 2023, setting a new record at IIIT-NR. What makes this story remarkable is her journey from turning down a 14 lakh package at a campus interview to bagging this substantial offer.

Instead of settling for the initial job offer, Rashi Bagga opted to explore her potential further. She attended multiple interviews, demonstrating her mettle, and ultimately landed this exceptional position as a Product Security Engineer at Atlassian. Her prior experiences as an SDE Intern at Intuit and a Software Developer Intern at Amazon had prepared her well for this remarkable feat.

Notably, the previous record at IIIT-NR was held by Chinky Karda, who secured a 57 lakh package from the same company the previous year. Additionally, Yogesh Kumar, another student, achieved a commendable 56 lakh package for a software development role at a multinational company.

Unfortunately, due to the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic, he couldn’t accept the offer. Rashi Bagga’s journey exemplifies the power of determination and seizing opportunities to achieve greater heights in one’s career.
