Despite her success, Bacha faces funding challenges for her 2024 Vendée Globe campaign. While her main sponsor, Medallia, continues its support, secondary sponsors have withdrawn due to economic conditions. This setback has prompted Bacha to seek new partnerships to sustain her campaign.

Bacha is also dedicated to empowering Djiboutian women entrepreneurs. She represents her country in international forums, advocating for female entrepreneurship. Bacha encourages women to take calculated risks in areas where they excel, emphasizing the importance of authenticity and expertise.

Bacha’s career has been marked by diverse experiences, including roles as a flight attendant, project manager, and embassy employee. Her decision to focus entirely on business followed a pivotal meeting with a prominent African entrepreneur. Bacha is deeply committed to promoting Djibouti’s tourism potential on the global stage, highlighting its unique attractions such as whale sharks and salt lakes.

An advocate for female empowerment, Bacha credits her mother for instilling in her a sense of entrepreneurship. She has passed on this ethos to her children, who actively contribute to the family business. Bacha’s daughter, Zaïna, shares her mother’s vision for developing Djibouti and aspires to launch an estate agency focused on affordable housing.

Bacha’s story embodies the spirit of resilience and innovation. Her efforts to promote entrepreneurship and tourism in Djibouti reflect her commitment to driving economic growth and development in her country.
