Aparna Gupta: Appointed As Microsoft’s New Global Delivery leader

Microsoft has appointed Aparna Gupta as the new leader of its Global Delivery Center (GDC), where she will oversee customer innovation and delivery excellence.

GDC, established in Hyderabad in 2005, expanded to include locations in Bangalore and Noida. The center encompasses four Centers of Excellence (CoE) focusing on app innovation, data and Artificial Intelligence, infrastructure and security, and business applications.

Puneet Chandok, President of Microsoft India and South Asia, expressed delight in announcing Gupta’s elevation, citing her extensive experience and knowledge of Microsoft technologies as valuable assets for customer solutions. Chandok emphasized Gupta’s leadership role in ensuring continued success regionally and globally, particularly in the era of AI. Maureen Costello, Corporate Vice President of Microsoft Industry Solutions Delivery, praised Gupta’s ambition and leadership qualities, expressing confidence in her ability to guide the GDC team to ongoing success.

With over 25 years of industry expertise and extensive Microsoft experience, Gupta aims to deepen technical expertise across solution areas and foster a strong team culture for delivering excellence to customers. Gupta, who joined Microsoft six years ago as the India lead for Commercial Software Engineering, has made a positive impact on the business over the years.

In her new role, she is committed to building on the strong foundation within the GDC team and taking it to the next level. Gupta’s appointment aligns with Microsoft’s focus on maximizing the value of customer investments in its technologies, especially in the evolving landscape of artificial intelligence.
