Fashion and Art: An inevitable Affair
Art and Fashion have a long-standing relationship. These two, which come under the same umbrella of creative pursuits, have supported one another throughout time. Designers have usually cherished the presence of art, drawing inspiration from it and producing aesthetic ensembles. Although there have been many examples of art being represented through clothing, this one is particularly interesting since it is on a 7-foot-long piece of fabric known as a saree, the most versatile outfit imaginable.
Kalki Subramaniam, an award-winning celebrated Indian transgender artist, activist, poet, and actor unveiled this beautiful saree in Times Square New York in October 2022.
