International Yoga Day- BSF Women Jawans Perform Yoga At Borders Across India
Yoga is an age-old practice of physical, spiritual, and mental well-being which originated in India. Every year, June 21 is celebrated as International Yoga Day. This day has been dedicated to spreading awareness about India’s age-old practice of yoga.
This year the theme is “yoga for humanity” and on this occasion of International Yoga Day, women Jawans across various Indian borders are seen to perform Yoga. For instance, the Border Security Force Tripura shared a video on Twitter where the women Jawans were seen performing Yoga. These women Jawans in uniform performed Yoga together in coordination at the India-Bangladesh border.
Moreover, the troopers of BSF Tripura Sector Panisagar and its battalions can be seen performing Yoga at different places in Tripura on this 8th International Yoga Day. Such as, they performed Yoga at Neermahal Palace in Tripura along with Pratima Bhoumik, MoS Social Justice and Empowerment, officials and volunteers.
Meanwhile, observing the occasion, BSF troops in Jammu organised a Yoga session under the supervision of Sunita Boora, President of the BSF Wives Welfare Association. The families of BSF troops also practiced Yoga at this event.
