‘Nomadland’ wins Best Picture at Oscars as its director Chloé Zhao makes history

‘Nomadland’ won the Oscar for Best Picture at the 93rd Academy Awards held today. The drama film stars Frances McDormand in the lead role. The film’s director Chloé Zhao won the Oscar for Best Director, making her the second woman to win in the category in the Academy’s 93-year history and the first woman of colour to win the award.
