Against all odds, a Telangana woman, Nandiri Jyoti, defied her humble background to achieve remarkable success as a sub-inspector. Hailing from Pedda Chikod village in Dubbaka Mandal, Medak district, Jyoti shattered stereotypes and pursued her dream relentlessly.

Born into a family of farmers, where Telangana woman traditionally played domestic roles, Jyoti set her sights on a different path. Educated in government schools, she completed her schooling and earned her degree through sheer determination. Despite the family’s economic challenges, her father, Nandiri Rajaiah, recognized her academic potential and supported her education.

Jyoti’s achievement shines brightly as she cracked the Telangana Police SI selection exams for 2022, with the results announced on August 7, 2023. Notably, she accomplished this feat without formal coaching, relying solely on her self-preparation from home.

Starting as a Special Sub-Inspector (SSI), Jyoti’s journey in the Telangana Police is a testament to her dedication. Over the past two years, she diligently took various competitive exams, enhancing her skills and expertise. Her perseverance paid off, as she eventually secured the position of a sub-inspector.
