A recent study by Mercer has found that the top reason for employees to forgo a raise is the ability to work from anywhere. The study surveyed over 700 US-based companies and found that employees are willing to give up salary increases if they are given the option to work remotely.

The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted the way people work, and many companies have adopted remote work policies to accommodate employees’ needs. The ability to work from anywhere has
become a top priority for many employees, as it allows them to have a better work-life balance and flexibility in their schedules.

The study found that 51% of employers surveyed have implemented flexible work arrangements in response to the pandemic. Of these employers, 96% said that they plan to continue offering flexible work
arrangements in some form post-pandemic.

Employers are also recognizing the value of offering flexible work arrangements. The study found that 75% of employers believe that offering flexible work arrangements is critical to their organization’s
success.
