Celebrating the Legacy of Remarkable Women

Women who rise above themselves are the trailblazers of our world. They lead by example, turning challenges into opportunities, and inspiring courage and confidence in others. These women are driven by integrity and truth.

We recently lost three such remarkable women who pursued their passions with unwavering dedication until their final days. Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, a champion of race and gender equality in the U.S., was a feminist icon who tirelessly upheld women’s rights. From India, we remember Dr. S. I. Padmavati, the Godmother of Cardiology, who worked with single-minded focus until the age of 103, and Dr. Kapila Vatsyayan, a leading scholar of Indian classical dance, art, architecture, and art history.

We strongly condemn the horrific murders in Hathras and Balrampur. Our deepest condolences go out to the victims’ families, and we urge the authorities to bring the perpetrators to justice. The very essence of democracy is threatened when the vulnerable are oppressed.

The pandemic has also claimed the life of the great musical icon S.P. Balasubrahmanyam. We mourn this irreparable loss, though his voice will forever resonate in our hearts.

In this edition, we feature Ms. Smita Tharoor, an advocate of mindful actions and unconscious bias, as our cover personality. We invite our readers to explore her insights on self-development and growth.

As we celebrate the divine feminine awakening this month, we wish all women more power and success.
