Indian U-20 Sensation Earns Full Scholarship to LALIGA Academy
Indian youth soccer player Kajol Dsouza from Pune’s LALIGA Football Schools (LLFS) has earned a full scholarship to the LALIGA Academy in Madrid, Spain. She represented India at the FIFA Under-17 Women’s World Cup last year.
Launched in 2018 through a partnership between LALIGA and India on Track, LALIGA Football Schools promote soccer development in India using LALIGA’s techniques and technical expertise.
Kajol was assessed by the LALIGA Sports Project department, and she successfully passed the admission process. The program at the ESC LALIGA and NBA Centre in Madrid will host 80 players from 40 different nations, an increase from the previous year’s 36 players from 24 nations.
From September 1, 2023, to June 30, 2024, Kajol will study at the academy, where she will learn under the LALIGA Methodology and be coached by some of the world’s finest youth soccer coaches.
The program offers participants the chance to compete against various Spanish clubs nationwide and participate in non-federated national and international tournaments. It also includes a weekly academic load of 30 hours, covering training, competition, school fees, medical expenses, and accommodation.
