An Epitaph

In suede shoes and a swanky suit,

tapping iMac dutifully,

churning out many fancy charts,

winning claps and kudos notes.

Life glides in a corporate world

where power and title are seducing,

monthly slips get fat and fatter

getting trapped in a comfort zone.

Never realized what he missed:

his passions, dreams, and true love.

Now, it’s time to stack them in his box

and take it to his resting place,

where you will see this epitaph:

“Here rests a man of wealth

who forgot to live while he was alive.

Holding raw dreams to his chest,

shedding tears under 6 feet down.‘
