In one of his videos, Conor talks about the top five most obvious signs of autism in girls. The video is titled “These are just some signs of autism in females from my perspective.”

In the first part, he tells viewers that autism varies a lot, so the signs and symptoms can be different for everyone. He says these are just a few common signs based on his experience.

Conor introduces himself as being from Caerus Therapies, where they assess autism in children and adults.

He lists the top five common signs of autism in girls:

  1. Difficulty with change: Girls may struggle when routines change or when others don’t play the way they like.
  2. Sensory issues: They may find loud sounds bothersome and have trouble focusing in busy places.
  3. Intense interests: Girls may have strong interests in things like Barbie dolls or makeup and talk about them a lot.
  4. Relationship struggles: They may have trouble starting conversations and understanding social problems.
  5. Non-verbal communication issues: It’s hard to tell how they feel from their facial expressions, and they might not use gestures much.

According to the NHS, many autistic girls have been missed or misdiagnosed in the past.
