Ridhi Maheshwari: Bengaluru Girl Shines with 100 Percentile in JEE Main 2023

Ridhi Kamlesh Kumar Maheshwari, a determined and talented girl from Bengaluru, has achieved a remarkable feat by securing a perfect 100 percentile in JEE Main 2023. Emerging as the top scorer among girls, she obtained an impressive score of 285 out of 300. With a perfect score in Mathematics, along with exceptional marks of 95 in Physics and 90 in Chemistry, Ridhi’s outstanding performance has made her an inspiration for aspiring female engineers.

When asked about her motivation to crack the IIT entrance exam, Ridhi shares that she was initially expected to pursue a career in Chartered Accountancy, as per her father’s wishes. However, her passion for Mathematics and Science led her to aspire for a future in engineering. Supported wholeheartedly by her family, especially her brother who played a vital role in convincing their father about the opportunities and culture of IITs, Ridhi is now focused on pursuing Computer Science Engineering at the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.

Ridhi discloses her study routine for JEE Main, which involved dedicating nearly 5 to 6 hours daily for self-study either before or after attending classes. Starting her day at 6:30 am, she would begin studying at 7 am and then attend classes from 3:30 pm to 8:30 pm. After classes, Ridhi would choose to study further or rest, depending on how refreshed she felt.

Looking ahead to JEE Advanced, Ridhi relies on comprehensive study material provided by her coaching institute, Allen Bangalore. This includes previous year’s question papers, solved papers, and modules, along with regular revision of class notes. Rigorously analyzing her mistakes, Ridhi ensures she doesn’t repeat them and maintains a strong grasp of the subject matter.

Ridhi also shares her preferred reference books, highlighting the significance of NCERT for JEE Main. For JEE Advanced, she utilizes resources such as MS Chouhan and Himanshu Pandey for Organic Chemistry, Narendra Awasthi for Physical Chemistry, and VS Jaiswal and K Kumar for Inorganic Chemistry. Additionally, she relies on Blackbook, Yellowbook, and Pinkbook for Mathematics, while referring to Irodov, Pathfinder, and HC Verma for Physics.

Balancing her academic pursuits, Ridhi finds solace in taking walks and listening to music during her free time to relax and rejuvenate.

In terms of advice for fellow students appearing for JEE Main, Ridhi emphasizes the importance of consistency and hard work. She advises students to closely follow their teachers’ guidance, revise diligently, and avoid repeating past mistakes.
