Octogenarian Women Starts Writing At The Age Of 82 And Publishes 12 Books
Gertrude J Morris, an 88-year-old woman again, proved that age is just a number. At the age of 82, she discovered her love for writing and ever since then she has published a total of 12 books so far.
Gertrude retired as a superintendent at the treasury office at the age of 56 but picked up the pen more than 2 decades later. She published her first book ‘Kadalinte Makkal’ at the age of 82.
She recalls writing during her childhood days, which got her a prize for poetry writing at school. Later on, family life and service years left her with no time to even think about writing. However, now in her elderly years, she picked up the passion again and clearly she’s excelling at it.
This octogenarian now spends her days with her children and grandchildren and is currently working on her 13th book.
