Aimee Harris jailed for stealing US President Biden’s daughter’s diary

A Florida woman named Aimee Harris has been sentenced to one month in prison and three months of home confinement for stealing and selling the diary of President Joe Biden’s daughter, Ashley Biden. She was found guilty of selling the diary to the conservative group Project Veritas four years ago.

Aimee Harris, who lives in Florida, found Ashley Biden’s diary, along with other personal items, at a friend’s home in 2020. Despite Ashley Biden believing her belongings were safe there, Harris took them to profit from them. She tearfully apologized for selling Ashley Biden’s private writings and claimed she was preoccupied with caring for her two children.

Harris pleaded guilty to receiving $20,000 from Project Veritas for the items and attempted to sell them to former President Donald Trump’s 2020 presidential campaign. Prosecutors argued that Harris wanted to damage Ms. Biden’s father and was motivated by profit.

She is required to report to prison in July and apologized to Ashley Biden in court for making her personal life public.
