Bharat Soka Gakkai (BSG) organized a symposium in New Delhi to shape women leaders and their futures. The event, titled “Transforming Lives: Women as Catalysts for Social Change,” aimed to highlight the pivotal role of women in creating a better future. The symposium brought together inspiring speakers who exemplify women’s leadership.
Rashi Ahuja, Director of BSG, expressed her belief that women are architects of social change and welcomed the attendees. Pranjal Patil, District Magistrate of Shahdara District, shared her experiences and emphasized the power of administrative roles in driving societal progress. Radhika Bharat Ram, Joint Vice Chairperson of The Shri Ram Schools, highlighted women’s contributions in advocating for inclusivity and equality.
Priyanka Bhatia, Co-founder of Women on Wealth (WOW), emphasized the importance of financial empowerment for women’s lives and its impact on social change. Shreya Poonja, model and First Runner-up of Femina Miss India 2023 inspired the audience by sharing her journey and stressing the need for representation and breaking stereotypes in the entertainment industry.
Vishesh Gupta, Chairperson of BSG, thanked all the speakers and attendees, acknowledging the transformative power of women’s leadership. He recognized women as natural peacemakers and emphasized their ability to break barriers and create inclusive societies.
BSG, an organization dedicated to empowering individuals, particularly women, and youth, promotes a culture of respect and sustainability. The symposium showcased a sustainability exhibition titled “Seeds of Hope & Action: Making the SDGs a Reality,” which highlighted examples of individuals contributing to a more sustainable community.
BSG, headquartered in New Delhi, believes in the crucial role of women as catalysts for social transformation. With over 275,000 voluntary members across India, BSG champions diversity, inclusivity, and equality, with more than 50% of its members being women.
