How Cyclist Asha Empowers Women Nationwide

Cyclist Asha Malviya, a national athlete and mountaineer, is earning praise from the Northern Army Command officials for her nationwide tour dedicated to promoting women’s safety and empowerment. During her journey, she has covered 19,700 kilometers through 23 states and recently met Northern Army Commander Lt Gen Upendra Dwivedi at the Northern Command headquarters in Udhampur while moving to Srinagar.

Asha began her cycling trip from Bhopal on Madhya Pradesh’s foundation day and plans to conclude it in Delhi on Independence Day, covering a total of 25,000 kilometers. Her mission is to raise awareness about women’s safety and empowerment, and she has been paying tribute to the Bravehearts at Dhruva War Memorial along her route.

Earlier, she met Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami in Dehradun, where CM Dhami applauded her efforts in spreading awareness through her cycle tour for the cause of women’s safety and empowerment. He expressed his appreciation for her determination and wished her great success and a bright future.

Hailing from the Rajgarh district of Madhya Pradesh, Asha embarked on her journey from Bhopal on November 1, 2022. Passing through 28 states, she aims to make a significant impact in promoting the safety and empowerment of women across the country.

Her mission has caught the attention of the Northern Army Command, and her dedication and commitment are being recognized as she continues to inspire many with her courageous endeavor. With each kilometer she pedals, Asha Malviya is spreading a powerful message of empowerment and advocating for a safer environment for women in India.
