Prior to this, Maya Tata was responsible for portfolio management and investor relations at the fund, as reported by the Economic Times. Presently, she occupies a position on the board of the Tata Medical Centre Trust. This trust oversees the operations of a cancer hospital based in Kolkata, inaugurated by none other than the esteemed Ratan Tata himself in 2011.
